Saturday 12th October, 14:30pm-15:30, Main Marquee
John Boyne’s phenomenal career as a novelist began by charting lives remote from his own – children in a concentration camp in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and the last Romanovs in The House of Special Purpose. Recently his focus has turned on his native Ireland in the wildly inventive The Heart’s Invisible Furies and his most recent, Ladder to the Sky, comes uncomfortably close to home with a mercilessly funny look at the secret inner life of a novelist who will stop at nothing! John will be in conversation with the BBC’s Petroc Trelawny.
