Every season the book trade is blessed with one of those totally unpredictable successes, often a book that’s hard to categorise but which readers press on each other with the words, “Trust me…” Raynor Winn’s memoir, The Salt Path, was last year’s sleeper hit, buttonholing thousands of readers with its story of how she and her husband Moth reacted to disaster and looming tragedy by leaving their lives behind to walk the length of the South West Coast Path. Raynor will be in conversation with historian and inveterate walker, Lisa Cooper.
